The core difference
The Sony is a video-first camera with a future: better autofocus, better video specs, and an E-mount lens system that keeps growing. The Canon is a friendlier camera with a past: gorgeous out-of-camera color and the easiest menus for beginners, but the EF-M mount is a dead end — Canon has moved on to RF mount, and no new EF-M lenses are coming.
