How We Test
Every review and launch article on CreatorSprout falls into one of two clearly labelled categories. We say which one it is at the top of the article — no exceptions.
1. Hands-on reviews
For tools we actually use in our own creator workflow, we test the real product: we sign up, run real projects through it (a faceless video, a podcast episode, a batch of Shorts), and check the things marketing pages don't tell you — export quality and watermarks, plan limits that bite in practice, commercial-use rights, and how support responds. Screenshots and findings come from that testing.
2. Launch and research coverage
When a major AI tool or model launches, we sometimes cover it before we can test it. Those articles are labelled launch coverage, state plainly that we have not tested the product hands-on, and rely only on the maker's announcement and reputable press reporting. Anything unverified is labelled a rumour or marked as promised-not-shipped.
What we check on every tool
- Current pricing on the official site at the time of writing (prices change — we say "starts around" and tell you to verify before paying)
- Plan limits, credits and watermark rules
- Export quality and formats
- Commercial-use and licensing terms
- Who the tool is genuinely for — and who should skip it
What we never do
- No paid placements and no sponsored rankings — nobody can pay to be reviewed or ranked higher
- No invented star ratings, fake benchmarks, or made-up user statistics
- No copied press-release claims presented as our own testing
